Sometimes,
talking to the right people
still changes nothing.
You can give them every fact,
every reason,
every piece of information,
and lay the truth before them
as clearly as you can.
But at the end of the day,
people will often choose
what is best for them.
Politics finds its way
into places is should never belong,
and fairness is sometimes
the first thing left behind.
It hurts.
It frustrates.
It can leave you wondering
why doing the right thing
doesn’t always lead
to the right outcome.
But sadness will not rewrite
what has already happened.
And anger will not always
change the decision.
Sometimes,
the strongest thing you can do
is accept what you cannot control,
keep your dignity,
learn from the situation,
and keep moving forward.
Because life will not always be fair,
people will not always see your worth,
and the right information
will not always produce
the right decision.
But you still get to decide
what happens next.
Do not let someone else’s choices
become the weight
you carry every day.
Let it teach you.
Let it strengthen you.
Then let it go.
Because being sad about
what you cannot change
only gives it more power.
And sometimes,
the best victory
is simply refusing
to let an unfair situation
make you an unhappy person.
